SEC win-totals: Ranking odds released for 2025 college football season

The official kickoff of the 2025 college football season is still more than three months away, but much like sports fans, Las Vegas oddsmakers aren’t usually the most patient bunch. This week, FanDuel Sportsbook unveiled its newly-updated over-under win totals for each of Power Four conference program and Notre Dame.
That obviously included projected over-under win totals for each of the Southeastern Conference’s 16 teams in the second season since Texas and Oklahoma were added to the league. Based on FanDuel’s projections, Alabama, Georgia and the Longhorns will once again be battling it out for the SEC championship, while LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee will be the biggest challengers to potentially knock off the aforementioned Big Three.
Check out FanDuel Sportsbook’s 2025 projected over-under win totals for the SEC below:
T-1. Alabama Crimson Tide — 9.5 wins
Based on FanDuel’s numbers, Year 2 of the Kalen DeBoer era is already garnering some interesting hype among oddsmakers. While there are still plenty of questions to be answered, including at quarterback, it’s clear FanDuel expects more of the same from Alabama.
Year 1 under DeBoer didn’t go as planned as the Tide (9-4) finished with less than 10 wins for the first tme since Nick Saban‘s first season in 2007. Still, with premier talents like sophomore WR Ryan Williams and senior linebacker Deontae Lawson back for another go, hope springs eternal in Tuscaloosa.
T-1. Georgia Bulldogs — 9.5 wins

Oddsmakers remain quite high on the reigning SEC champion Bulldogs, but that love isn’t exactly overwhelming after the back-to-back CFP national champions in 2021-22 appeared to take a slight step back with an 11-win campaign in 2024.
But with Kirby Smart at the helm, it’s hard not to believe Georgia will once again be in the SEC title mix, even with an uncertain offense led by rising junior QB Gunner Stockton. And given the 9.5 win total after four straight seasons with double-digit wins, it’s clear UGA has doubters in Vegas.
T-1. Texas Longhorns — 9.5 wins
The Longhorns certainly made a strong first impression in its inaugural season in the SEC, reaching the conference championship game before falling to Georgia in overtime. But with former 2023 No. 1 overall recruit Arch Manning takes over as QB1, Texas fans have even higher hopes for 2025.
And while a sub-10 win total certainly leaves room for doubt, especially after winning at least 12 games each of the past two seasons, the Longhorns nevertheless have the elite talent to once again make a serious championship push in Year 5 under Steve Sarkisian.
T-4. LSU Tigers — 8.5 wins
After back-to-back 10-win seasons to begin Brian Kelly era in Baton Rouge, the Bayou Bengals took a slight step backwards with 9 wins in 2024, falling out of SEC championship contention amid a late-season three-game slide vs. Texas A&M, Alabama and Florida.
Nevertheless, Vegas appears confident LSU will once again put itself in the league mix in its second season with Garrett Nussmeier as QB1. Add to that a strong contingent of defensive returners and the Tigers have all the makings of a legit SEC contender in 2025.
T-4. Ole Miss Rebels — 8.5 wins

The Rebels certainly made things interesting in 2024, producing their second-straight 10-win season under Lane Kiffin, including a stunning 28-10 home win of then-No. 3 Georgia in Oxford. But a head-scratching loss at Florida the following week all-but doomed Ole Miss’ budding Playoff hopes.
And while confidence remains high around Oxford, especially having topped double-digit wins in three of the last four seasons under Kiffin, it’s clear Vegas oddsmakers are far from sold on the Rebels with Jaxson Dart no longer at quarterback.
T-4. Tennessee Volunteers — 8.5 wins
The Volunteers unexpectedly became the talk of the college football world earlier this Spring when returning QB1 Nico Iamaleava seemingly ghosted the program over a NIL dispute before entering the portal and transferring to UCLA.
Given that surprise, and the subsequent transfer trade for Bruins QB Joey Aguilar, Vegas’ projection of 8.5 wins in 2025 will be a bit jarring for non-Tennessee fans. Still, fifth-year Tennessee coach Josh Heupel has eclipsed the 9-win plateau each of the past three seasons and oddsmakers believe he’ll do it again.
T-7. Auburn Tigers — 7.5 wins
Year 3 under Hugh Freeze brings with it plenty of hope, especially after he landed former Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold out of the transfer portal, and not just for diehard Tigers fans. Vegas oddsmakers also appear to be big believers in Freeze.
Auburn hasn’t eclipsed the six-win mark since 2019, when it went 9-4 in Gus Malzahn‘s second-to-last season at the helm, and just based on FanDuel’s O/U win total, there’s budding confidence the Tigers will finally turn the corner in 2025.
T-7. Missouri Tigers — 7.5 wins

Mizzou has seemingly flown under the radar each of the last two seasons, topping double-digit win totals in back-to-back campaigns in Year 4 and 5 under Eli Drinkwitz. Of course, that was with veteran QB Brady Cook running the show offensively.
Now the offense is expected to be handed over to former Penn State QB transfer Beau Pribula, but, at least based on the oddsmakers, Vegas is predicting the Tigers will take a significant step back in 2025.
T-7. South Carolina Gamecocks — 7.5 wins
The Gamecocks were one of the SEC’s biggest surprises in 2024, and made a legitimate Playoff push by winning their final six games of the regular season, including an upset of eventual ACC champion Clemson to make things interesting for the CFP committee.
Add to that the return of uber-talented dual-threat QB LaNorris Sellers, South Carolina will be a serious darkhorse candidate in 2025. Just don’t tell that to FanDuel’s oddsmakers, who clearly aren’t as sold on the Gamecocks repeating last year’s success.

T-7. Texas A&M Aggies — 7.5 wins
Year 1 under Mike Elko wasn’t what diehard Aggies fans hoped for when he replaced his former boss Jimbo Fisher at the helm. Still, just based on A&M’s struggles in the final two seasons under Fisher, 2024’s 8-5 record left plenty of room for confidence.
That said, Vegas doesn’t seem as sure of a turnaround in Elko’s second season, expecting more of the same from the middling Aggies, which have won more than eight games just twice in the last decade.
T-11. Florida Gators — 6.5 wins

Gators coach Billy Napier earned himself a bit of reprieve in Year 3 thanks in large part to the obvious potential of rising sophomore QB DJ Lagway, the 2024 No. 1 overall recruit, who powered Florida to a 6-1 mark in seven starts last season.
But while many around Gainesville are all aboard the Lagway hype train, FanDuel’s oddsmakers aren’t nearly as sold on the Gators. In fact, at 6.5 wins, it’s clear Vegas expects another difficult season in 2025 where bowl eligibility remains in doubt, especially given UF’s challenging schedule.
T-11. Oklahoma Sooners — 6.5 wins
The Sooners enter Year 4 under Brent Venables still looking to take that next step as a perennial conference and national champion contender. But just based on FanDuel’s win projection total, there isn’t much confidence it’ll happen in 2025.
Vegas oddsmakers are expecting more of the same from Oklahoma after finishing 6-7 in two of Venables’ first three seasons. Of course, those in and around Norman are hoping new Sooners QB John Mateer proves Vegas wrong this season.
13. Arkansas Razorbacks — 5.5 wins
The Razorbacks’ four-win 2024 season was certainly a disappointment to fans, but head coach Sam Pittman still managed to secure a fifth season in Fayetteville given all everything else he’s done for the program.
But as Pittman and company enter Year 5, it’s clear oddsmakers aren’t expecting much from the Razorbacks in 2025, even in a second season with OC Bobby Petrino and former transfer QB Taylen Green running things offensively.
T-14. Kentucky Wildcats — 4.5 wins

Entering his 13th season in Lexington, Mark Stoops is the SEC’s longest tenured head football coach. But if FanDuel’s win total projection proves accurate, he might not make it to 14. Since a 10-win campaign in 2021, Kentucky’s win total has dropped considerably to a 4-8 mark in 2024.
The Wildcats added former Texas A&M transfer QB Zach Calzada out of the transfer portal after striking out with former UGA transfer Brock Vadagriff last season. But is Calzada enough to fix what’s ailed UK? Vegas oddsmakers clearly have their doubts.
T-14. Vanderbilt Commodores — 4.5 wins
Diego Pavia was a revelation for the Commodores in 2024 and after beating the NCAA in court, he’s back in Nashville for a second straight season after leading Vanderbilt to its first seven-win season since 2013, when Penn State’s James Franklin last roamed the sideline.
Despite some encouraging signs last season, Vegas oddsmakers expect the ‘Dores will come back to Earth in 2025 with an over-under of 4.5 wins, which would be on par with Vanderbilt’s 2022 season (5-7).
16. Mississippi State Bulldogs — 3.5 wins
While hardly a certainty, it’s clear the FanDuel’s oddsmakers expect Year 2 under Jeff Lebby to be another disappointing one in Starkville after managing just two wins in 2024.
The Bulldogs should get a fully healthy Blake Shapen at QB, something it didn’t have after a shoulder injury limited him to just four games last season. If the former Baylor QB can show some of the potential he had in 2022, betting the over may pay off for Mississippi State fans in 2025.
