Seth Curry says he 'can't wait' to see Cooper Flagg in the NBA

Seth Curry is ready to see what Cooper Flagg can do in the NBA. On3 recently spoke to the current Charlotte Hornets and former Duke Blue Devils star about how Flagg will do in the NBA once he decides to finish his college basketball career.
“I think he’ll be great,” Seth Curry told On3. “I mean, his size and skill setting, I don’t want to say he doesn’t have any weaknesses, but he can do everything out on the floor you ask him to do. So he’s got the talent, he’s young, he’s getting better and better as this season goes along. So as he makes that jump to the next level, he’ll continue to improve. And I’m sure he’s getting that experience at Duke, learning from John and those guys and I can’t wait to watch him at the next level. He’s going to be really good.”
Cooper Flagg fell short of winning a national title as Duke suffered a heartbreaking loss to Houston in the national semifinal game this year. But the 2024-25 season was still memorable for Flagg as he was a consensus All-American and was named the National College Player of the Year. In his first season at Duke, Flagg averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks.

More on Cooper Flagg and Seth Curry
Cooper Flagg has not declared for the draft as of this writing, but ESPN has the 18-year-old going No. 1 overall to the Utah Jazz. “It’s difficult to see Flagg not declaring for the draft at this point considering the No. 1 pick is at stake, and the Jazz would surely be thrilled to add a player with his versatility and star power to pair with Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler in what would quickly become a formidable frontcourt,” Jonathan Givony wrote in ESPN’s latest mock draft.
Seth Curry did not get the same attention as Flagg when he was at Duke, but he has put together a solid NBA career. He began his pro basketball career in 2013 after going undrafted. Curry has played for multiple teams over the last 11 years and is currently a member of the Charlotte Hornets. The 34-year-old has averaged 10 points a game and has a career three-point percentage of .432.
