The Minnesota Vikings pulled off the upset win on Monday Night Football defeating the San Francisco 49ers 22-17 after entering the matchup as seven-point underdogs. The loss marked the 49ers’ second in a row following their 5-0 start to the season, and clearly caught the attention of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Jones reacted to the Niners’ loss on 105.3 The Fan, saying that San Francisco ‘can be had’ when a team can step up and ‘play like Minnesota did and their quarterback did.’ Former NFL tight end and current sports media personality Shannon Sharpe reacted to Jones’ comments on ESPN’s ‘First Take’ with Stephen A. Smith and Pat McAfee, and he did not pull any punches.

“You know what guys, there’s an 80 million dollar house listed in Bel Air that can be had, I just can’t get it,” Sharpe said. “You know Jerry Jones, yeah you’re right, the 49ers might can be had. You just can’t do it.”

“Remember over the last three years, you’ve gotten three cracks at them, how’d that turn out for you? They can be had, but y’all didn’t have them. I don’t know why Jerry would like to interject himself into a conversation.”

The 49ers have had the Cowboys’ number in recent history, defeating them in back-to-back playoff appearances in 2021 and 2022 as well as dominating Dallas in a 42–10 win in Week 5 this season.

The Cowboys have had similar dominance versus the Vikings, defeating Minnesota in their last three meetings dating back to 2020, but according to Sharpe, you have to beat the man to be the man.

“See, that’s how we used to think P-Mac when we were going up,” Sharpe said. “Okay they beat them, we beat them, so we should automatically beat team A. If we’re team C, if we beat team B and team B beats team A, well we beat team B that beat team A, team C should be able to beat [team A]. That doesn’t work like that Jerry.”

Shape’s breakdown can be a little confusing, but there’s no doubt that in the NFL beating a team that’s defeated another team holds no merit. And as far as the Cowboys’ owner speaking on the 49ers, Sharpe believes that Jones should just stay in his own lane.

“When you get out there on the field the 49ers in their mind, not in the back but in the front of their mind know they will out-physical you … But I don’t know why Jerry, he’s always focusing on somebody else’s plate. You need to satisfy, eat what’s on your plate, don’t worry about 49ers worry about the Dallas Cowboys,” Sharpe said. “You’ve got enough to worry about.”
