Shedeur Sanders, Malik Nabers team up, play catch in New York ahead of Heisman ceremony
Colorado star quarterback Shedeur Sanders is in New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony, supporting his teammate and Heisman favorite Travis Hunter. Perhaps Sanders will be back in New York soon, playing professional football there for the New York Giants.
Shedeur Sanders was hanging out with New York Giants star receiver Malik Nabers in New York on Friday, and the two were captured on video playing catch in NYC. You can check out the video below:
The New York Giants are in the market for a new starting quarterback, and Mel Kiper has the Giants selecting Shedeur Sanders at No. 1 overall in his latest mock draft.
Sanders has thrown for 3,926 yards and 35 touchdowns, with eight interceptions, heading into bowl season. He’s also rushed for four scores.
Shedeur Sanders and Malik Nabers would be fun to watch together as Nabers looks like one of the top young receivers in the NFL. The former LSU star has 80 receptions for 819 yards through the first 11 games of his NFL career.

Joel Klatt argues for Shedeur Sanders as Heisman finalist
FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt believes that Shedeur Sanders should not just be in New York to support Travis Hunter but should also be there as a Heisman finalist himself.
He made the case for Shedeur Sanders and Arizona State star running back Cam Skattebo on the latest episode of The Joel Klatt Show.
“I’m not saying that any of these players I’m about to bring up should go in-place of a finalist. All four finalists deserve to be finalists. They’ve played phenomenally. I think there should be one more,” Klatt stated. “You could bring up Cam Skattebo at Arizona State. You could bring up Shedeur Sanders. I think Shedeur Sanders actually has a stronger argument than anybody to at least be a Heisman finalist. This is why it should be five.
“You look at some of these seasons and you think to yourself, ‘Shedeur Sanders, his season was incredible.’ Skattebo’s was great. I think Shedeur’s was probably better. Shedeur Sanders was responsible for 82 percent of Colorado’s offense this year. That’s a staggering percentage. In fact, it’s the best in college football, and it’s the third highest in the last 25 years. 25 years? That is a staggering amount. … Shedeur should be in New York. There’s no doubt about it. … The Heisman should be five finalists. The fifth finalist should absolutely be Shedeur Sanders. I think he got snubbed from that role.”
