Shedeur Sanders is quite confident in his abilities, especially when it comes to translating to the NFL in a few short months.

The former Colorado and Jackson State quarterback said he can change the culture and the fate of a franchise looking to select him. Based on his track record, he might be pretty darn accurate.

Him and Cam Ward are considered the top two options at QB and in the conversation for the No. 1 overall pick.

“That’s the plan, if that’s not what you trying to do, don’t get me,” Sanders said. “If you not trying to change the franchise or the culture, don’t get me. You should know history repeats itself over and over and over. And I’ve done it over and over and over. So, there should be no question why an NFL franchise should pick me.”

Sanders led the nation with a 74% completion percentage as a senior in Boulder this past season. He also totaled 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns, along with just 10 interceptions on 477 pass attempts.

The Tennessee Titans hold the No. 1 pick in April, but might not select a quarterback. Most mock drafts have them selecting Penn State’s Abdul Carter or even Colorado Heisman winner Travis Hunter.

Sanders and Ward are seemingly candidates for the Cleveland Browns or New York Giants as those franchises look for a new star and a turnaround.

Perhaps Sanders is the right guy to change the culture in either locker room and turn them from misfortuned franchises to prosperous ones in 2025.

So, how’s Sanders handling the perceived slight of teams and analysts alike not championing his game? He harkened back to his father’s incredible career, remembering that Deion Sanders had plenty of haters too, and he proved them wrong at every turn.

“You think I’m worried about what critics say, or what people got to say? You know who my dad is? They hated on him too,” Sanders proclaimed, regarding how he’s handling criticism ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, via Mike Klis of 9News. “So it’s almost normal. Without people hating him, it’s not normal for us. So, we like adversity. We like everything that comes with the name.”

The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 24th to the 26th in Green Bay.
