Video emerged of the alleged Shedeur Sanders prank callers during the 2025 NFL Draft. The Colorado quarterback received a phone call from someone pretending to be New Orleans Saints GM Mickey Loomis.

The Saints ended up drafting Tyler Shough (Louisville) in the second round, rather than Sanders whom they were linked to. Sanders questioned the legitimacy of the phone call shortly after being hung up on and now the alleged pranksters have been revealed.

However the video got leaked is anyone’s guess. An apparent burner account posted the video of a couple of males trying to pull off the call. One was wearing an Ole Miss shirt.

Whether or not they were Ole Miss students or fans, it’s interesting given the context. Jaxson Dart was the second quarterback selected in the first round, ahead of Sanders, when the Giants traded up to get him Thursday night.

This alleged footage of the prank call was released on the heels of a second video of Sanders reacting to the initial call. He dealt with the incident in a calm and collected manner.

ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper, who believes Sanders was the best QB in the 2025 draft class, had a visceral reaction to another day of teams passing on the Colorado QB. This one topped his previous reactions.

“You talk about cocky or confident, arrogant or charismatic, OK? Leadership. There’s not going to be a show. There’s not going to be a circus with Shedeur Sanders,” Kiper said. “Deion Sanders was one of the hardest working players in the history of this game. He brought with him a great work ethic. He was loved in every locker room.

“Shedeur Sanders will be the same thing. He will galvanize… I don’t know what people are thinking is going to happen when Shedeur Sanders is part of football team. He said he’s going to work, the players are going to rally around him, he’s going to be a hell of a quarterback in his league, and he will cause a lot of sleepless nights and a lot of anguish.”
