If there was any doubt before that Simone Biles is the GOAT of gymnastics, she erased it when she took home the gold medal in the Individual All Around for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Biles, ever confident in her own abilities, celebrated her win in Paris with a special diamond-encrusted necklace that she pulled out. It depicted a small goat, which she clearly was using to show that she knows she’s the greatest gymnast of all time with.

You can check out Simone Biles’ GOAT necklace that she pulled out while celebrating, here:

There was some tension for Biles on the Individual All Around, after a poor by her standards uneven bars routine tightened the competition at the top. However, Biles stunned everywhere else, particularly on the floor, to secure her gold medal.

In the end, Simone Biles had a total score of 59.131. Behind her was Rebeca Andrade of Brazil with a silver medal and another American, Suni Lee, with bronze. They scored 57.932 and 56.465 in the Individual All Around, respectively.

Simone Biles made history with the win. It was her second gold medal of the 2024 Paris Olympics after the United States of America also won the Team All Around competition. That gives her six total gold medals in Olympic competition, which is the most gold medals by a single gymnast in American history. In total, Biles has nine Olympic medals, with a silver and two bronze medals to go with her six gold.

Part of what makes Biles the GOAT is her work ethic and talent, which is extraordinary. For a decade now, she has been a dominant gymnast on the world stage. Another part of what makes her the GOAT comes down to her ability to overcome, though.

Biles has been able to overcome the pressure that comes with being at the top of the sport and having all expectations fall on your shoulders. She’s also been able to overcome issues at the Olympics, like when she was forced to withdraw from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics amid criticism while she battled the “Twisties.” Through all of that, she’s still been able to dominate and succeed at the highest level.

There are going to be separate individual finals for each event at the Olympics as well. In the past, Biles has won gold in the vault and floor exercise. She also has two bronze medals in the balance beam. The finals for the individual events at the Paris Olympics are still coming in the next few days.
