The Kansas City Chiefs handled the Houston Texans on Saturday in their AFC Divisional matchup, 24-13. And in the process, they punched their tickets to the AFC Championship Game. That doesn’t mean there weren’t plenty of fans online that were infuriated with the officiating afterwards. And former Fox star Skip Bayless was quick to chime in on his Twitter account and let fans know how he felt.

“Ballgame. CONGRATS, NFL. YOU MADE SURE MAHOMES SURVIVED. THE SWIFTIES WILL BE BACK IN FULL FORCE FOR THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. YOU GAVE MAHOMES THE REFEREE SUPPORT HE NEEDED,” Bayless screamed from his Twitter account.

Bayless was far from the only person that was infuriated with the officials on Saturday night. His tweet got 53,000 likes. So, there were plenty of NFL fans across the country that agreed with him. Both the TV commentators and fans on social media were furious Mahomes when he tried to flop going out of bounds. There were plenty of other instances that upset fans on Saturday, but whether they like it or not, the Chiefs advanced.

More on Taylor Swift, Caitlin Clark, and the Chiefs

Taylor Swift and Caitlin Clark are two of the biggest names in sports and pop culture today. Wherever they go, eyeballs and page views are sure to follow. And the NFL got lucky on Saturday in the Kansas City Chiefs-Houston Texans playoff game, when Taylor Swift and Caitlin Clark were both in the skybox suite together.

Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce had his 9th career 100-yard receiving game in the postseason, giving him the most in NFL history. Once he made history, Clark and Swift had to celebrate up in the skybox.

Swift has been dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for quite some time now. And they’ve dominated talk on the internet. YouTube channels, websites, social media, you name it. This is one of the first times that Swift has been in the Chiefs’ skybox with Caitlin Clark. And both are quite dominant in their arenas. Swift in the musical world and Clark on the basketball court.

They both went home happy on Saturday, after the Chiefs managed to win 24-13. Travis Kelce finished the game with seven catches for 117 receiving yards and a touchdown. And Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 16 of 25 passes for 177 yards, while tossing one touchdown and no interceptions.

The Texans outgained the Chiefs in total yards, 336-212. They also outgained them in passing yards, with 187 yards to 162 yards. The Texans also dominated time of possession 33:43 to 26:57. The Chiefs managed to pull away in the fourth quarter. They were only up 13-12 at the end of the third quarter, but the Texans only points in the final quarter came on a safety of Kansas City punter Matt Araiza.

With the win, the Chiefs will face the winner of the Ravens and Bills matchup for a chance to go to the Super Bowl. Kansas City will sit back and await the results of Sunday’s game, to see who they’ll face in the 2025 AFC Championship Game.
