One of the most beautiful tracks the NASCAR Cup Series will race at in 2024 is Sonoma Raceway, and the road course has received an upgrade.

The ambiance of Sonoma isn’t matched by many tracks on the calendar, as it’s remained one of the sport’s premier road course destinations year-in and year-out. The track is a beaut to look at, but the photo shared by Sonoma to social media on Tuesday has the NASCAR world clamoring for the race already.

Check out the photo below, featuring the beautiful repave of the track, surrounded by some glorious green grass. Unfortunately, the green grass will be gone by the time the Cup Series arrives at Sonoma, but it still makes for a beautiful sight at this time.

The Cup Series will be in action on the track on June 9, as NASCAR’s best and brightest look for a victory in the Toyota/Save Mart 350. The 110-lap race is always one of the most interesting on the calendar.

Last season, it was Martin Truex Jr. who captured the checkered flag at Sonoma, the final race for the Cup Series before the track’s repave. Kyle Busch and Joey Logano finished P2 and P3 respectively, but they’ll be looking to get the best of the Joe Gibbs Racing star when the time comes in 2024.

Ratings revealed for Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway

In other news, NASCAR is basking in the glory of the remarkable Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and the ratings are backing up their confidence.

Sunday’s race at Atlanta drew rave reviews from drivers, fans and media members alike, as it’s been praised as one of the best races in the history of the sport over the last couple of days. Evidently, there’s evidence from the ratings breakdown that suggest it was a major success from that standpoint, as well.

Check out the graphic shared by FOX Sports PR to social media, where they revealed the amount of viewers for Sunday’s race, and added some pretty promising tidbits regarding the ratings for Atlanta compared to last year’s iteration.

“Sun’s out, ratings up! Sunday’s @NASCAR Cup Series race from @ATLMotorSpdwy scored 4,464,000 viewers on FOX, up +33% over last year’s race from Atlanta and +5% over the equivalent race at Fontana,” FOX Sports PR posted on X, formerly known as Twitter

That’s a pretty sizable jump. The ratings reveal for the Daytona 500 wasn’t exactly promising, but that didn’t take into account the fact that the race was moved to Monday afternoon after rain soaked the track for multiple days. These ratings for Atlanta however, they’ll certainly inspire some good feelings.

Up next for NASCAR is a trip to Las Vegas. We’ll see if the ratings continue to stay high as the Cup Series takes its show to Sin City, or if the excitement of Atlanta put it in a league all by itself over the weekend.
