Spire Motorsports announces new multi-race sponsor for Carson Hocevar in 2025
A new look and new sponsor for Carson Hocevar and the No. 77 team in the 2025 NASCAR season. Spire Motorsports made the announcement today. Hocevar will have Miner Corporation, which specializes in docks, doors, and “more” according to their slogan, for multiple races this season.
Miner actually got into NASCAR a year ago with sponsorships on Stewart-Haas Racing cars. Now they are moving to Spire Motorsports who has perhaps the richest ownership group in the Cup Series at the moment.
Carson Hocevar is coming off an impressive Rookie of the Year campaign. He took on Josh Berry, Zane Smith, and Kaz Grala for that honor. Now he has a new partner to show for it.
As part of the sponsorship deal, Miner will be Spire’s exclusive provider of dock and door services. That is a big deal. Many of the best, longest-lasting sponsorships in NASCAR right now are part of business-to-business deals.
Integrating partners in this way is a win-win for both the teams and sponsors. Riding on Hocevar’s car for the 2025 season, Miner will be more than happy with the results the young driver delivers.
“It’s exciting to carry the momentum from 2024 and winning the Cup Series rookie of the year into the off season by adding MINER to Spire Motorsports’ family of partners,” said Hocevar in a press release. “We’ve got a lot of great things happening and we’re already off to a good start before the new year. MINER is a great company, and we share the same commitment to performing at the highest level. It seems like we just wrapped last season but we’re full speed ahead for 2025.”
Carson Hocevar ready to step up at Spire Motorsports
In 2025, Carson Hocevar will be the longest-tenured driver at Spire Motorsports. He is the only one of the trio of drivers last year, which included Corey LaJoie and Zane Smith, that returns for this season.

Michael McDowell joins the team in 2025 as well as Justin Haley. McDowell is the reigning pole award champion from 2024. He earned six poles during the season. Haley is seen as a potential star if his talents are paired up with the right equipment and team. With Rodney Childers as his crew chief, it could be this season that he takes that next step.
I think that Carson Hocevar is going to embrace the new challenges. New teammates mean new voices in the garage. They might know a thing or two that his other teammates didn’t know. McDowell should serve as an excellent mentor and elder teammate for Hocevar and Haley. Don’t forget that Haley is only 25.
Spire Motorsports has a ton of momentum, mostly in the form of money. They are tied up in the same ownership group that operates Andretti Global as well as the upcoming Cadillac F1 team that will debut in 2026. Will that funding turn into results on the track in the Cup Series?
There have been many deep pockets in racing and many of them have left without much to show for it. Is Spire going to be different or just another story of what money can’t buy?
