Spire Motorsports signs Chase Purdy full-time for 2024 Truck Series season
The New Year is here and teams are finalizing their 2024 NASCAR plans. Spire Motorsports inked Chase Purdy recently. Purdy, who spent 2023 with Kyle Busch Motorsports, will now race for the team that bought out KBM.
Purdy was a playoff driver a year ago. He did not find Victory Lane. However, the 24-year-old showed promise this last season. KBM put up good trucks and it gave Purdy his real first shot at driving great equipment.
11th overall in 2023, Purdy is going to do his best to get a win for Spire Motorsports and have a deep playoff run. I think this is a great signing and Purdy should be ready to take that next step up in his fourth full-time season in trucks.
Spire is pairing Purdy up with crew chief Jason Trinchere who has worked with some big names in NASCAR. Trinchere will be a great guiding hand in the No. 77 team’s season.
Spire Motorsports President Doug Duchardt is excited about the new signing.
“Chase Purdy is really coming into his own as a driver and we think pairing him with a crew chief the caliber of Jason Trinchere will elevate his level of competitiveness immediately. We put a lot of thought into putting Chase together with the right person and at the conclusion of that process, it was very clear that Jason is the person to lead the No. 77 team. This is a combination we expect to set a very high bar in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.”
This isn’t the most surprising signing. Chase Purdy has good sponsorship and has put up solid results. He will do well in 2024 with Spire.

Chase Purdy ready to get started with Spire Motorsports
Between Spire and Trackhouse, I can’t decide which team is more exciting. I guess, until Spire gets some wins, it is still Trackhouse. However, joining this Spire bandwagon right now isn’t a bad idea.
Gainbridge came in and put a ton of sponsorship money into this team. Group 1001 is now a dominant force in American motorsports between NASCAR and IndyCar. Chase Purdy is ready to go in 2024.
“I’m really excited to get going on 2024 with Spire Motorsports,” said Purdy in a press release. “Seeing what they’ve done in the last few years and the drivers they’ve had come through, being in that system makes me excited for the future. I’m more determined than ever. There are a few new people, Jason Trinchere, obviously being one of them, but, for the most part, we still have our same core group of guys so we’re looking to keep up that momentum from last year. I’m just really eager to get the new season started. I can’t wait to get to work.”
Jason Trinchere and his record of success will be a great contribution to this team. Spire Motorsports gets a winner and a veteran in the box for their young Truck Series driver.
