Sports Illustrated announces Brittany Mahomes as 2024 Swimsuit Rookie ahead of Super Bowl LVIII

Sports Illustrated announced a huge debut to the annual Swimsuit edition on Thursday – Brittany Mahomes. Wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Brittany is one of SI’s Swimsuit Rookies of 2024. This year’s swimsuit edition of the SI magazine is celebrating its 60th anniversary.

Mahomes, a co-owner of the Kansas City Current of the NWSL and former UT-Tyler soccer player, did her photo shoot with Sports Illustrated in Belize with photographer Derek Kettela. The 28-year-old mother of two sizzles in multiple swimsuits, which all happen to be in Kansas City Chiefs red.

Mahomes makes SI Swimsuit debut

Mahomes, a certified trainer, opened up to the magazine about her wellness lifestyle. She also explained why she believes her platform aligns with the goals of SI Swimsuit.

“I think I align perfectly with SI Swimsuit’s vision because I am unapologetically always myself in any setting. I want women to feel empowered to always be yourself, love yourself, and feel confident in whatever you do and I think SI Swimsuit does, too,” she says. “Be confident in who you are and be unapologetically yourself. People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters.

“Whether that’s health and wellness, being a great wife or mom, or career goals, being the best version of you is the most important thing you can be.”

The new SI Swimsuit rookie will be in Las Vegas this weekend as her husband and the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. The Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers is a rematch of Super Bowl LIV, which the Chiefs won 31-20 at Hard Rock Stadium. Despite Kansas City’s recent success in the big game, it’s the 49ers that lead the Vegas odds this year. San Francisco is a 2.5-point favorite.
