The Steelers are relatively healthy for a mid-December game, with the only player deemed a definite out for the Colts is quarterback Kenny Pickett.

Pickett, of course, had surgery to heal his high ankle sprain and already has missed two games. He didn’t participate in any of the Steelers three practices this week. As fans know, Pittsburgh is prepping for their road game against the Colts, which is part of a Saturday, NFL triple-header.

Guard Isaac Seumalo is the only Steelers player on the report listed as questionable. No other players who were on the injury list this week have a game-day designation. That means there’s good news for the Steelers pass rush. Both TJ Watt and Alex Highsmith cleared concussion protocol. Pittsburgh listed Watt as a full participant in practices on Wednesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, Highsmith was limited the first two practices, but was a full participant, Thursday.

Watt felt well enough to answer media questions.

“We went through all the steps possible, and it felt like we did everything the right way,” Watt said of his time in concussion protocol.

The Steelers definitely are in a must-win situation after dropping two straight to the Cardinals and Patriots. Both teams had only won two games before meeting the Steelers. But they had no issues coming to Acrisure Stadium and beating Pittsburgh. At this point in the season, Pittsburgh is the projected sixth seed, with the Colts at No. 7.

The Colts ruled out two players for Saturday’s game. They are offensive tackle Braden Smith and running back Jonathan Taylor. It’ll be the third consecutive game Taylor will miss as he deals with a bad thumb.
