Steelers DL Cameron Heyward ruled out vs. 49ers with injury

Pittsburgh Steelers veteran defensive lineman Cameron Heyward has been ruled out for the remainder of the Week 1 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Heyward exited the game with a groin injury. Heyward spent time on the injury report this week before being cleared of any injury designation. He failed to get on the stat sheet before the injury.

Not much went right for the Steelers, who were a trendy pick to upset the 49ers at home. San Francisco picked up a 30-7 victory, with Pittsburgh’s defense failing to offer much resistance.
