Steelers' Joey Porter Jr., Allen Robinson being evaluated for concussions vs. Bills
The Pittsburgh Steelers could be down a couple of players in Monday’s Wild Card matchup against the Bills. Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and receiver Allen Robinson both left the game and are being evaluated for potential concussions.
Porter was taken to the locker room after being hit in the back by Buffalo offensive lineman Connor McGovern. There appeared to be contact to his helmet on the play, and he is officially questionable to return according to the team.
Robinson was hurt after a hard tackle from Dorian Williams and needed help to get off the field. The team also deemed him questionable to return.
Porter is a rookie with the Steelers this season after being drafted in the second round. He has started 11 games in 17 appearances to record 43 total tackles, on interception and 10 passes defended. He had two tackles prior to his exit in Monday’s contest.
Robinson is also a starter for Pittsburgh who ranks fifth on the team with 34 catches for 280 yards. He had hauled in two of three targets for 12 yards before leaving the game with injury.

Pittsburgh will hope both Joey Porter Jr. and Robinson will be able to return and there is no concussion for either as it fights for its life in this final quarter. The Steelers were able to make it a one-possession game after a touchdown pass from Mason Rudolph to Calvin Austin. However, Buffalo answered on the next drive to make it 31-17.
That is where the score currently stands with 2:39 remaining in the game.
Steelers receiver George Pickens rips refs after Wild Card loss to Bills
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens believed the Buffalo Bills were given a bit of extra help by the officiating crew during their 31-17 loss in the wild-card round.
Pickens was seen throwing his helmet on the sideline after an incomplete pass in the fourth quarter that he felt should have been called for pass interference. It was a heated moment, but still blamed the referees on hand for aiding the Bills in their quest for the divisional round.
“You can’t play the Bills and the refs at the same time,” Pickens said at his locker postgame. “When you go out there and try to make a play and they’re taking away calls, throwing a clear pass over Myles Jack‘s head and they threw a PI — it’s not catchable. So when guys go back to watch the film, watch the refs.”
