Steelers sign LB Myles Jack, make several roster moves
The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced the expected signing of veteran linebacker Myles Jack to the team’s practice squad on Monday.
Jack played in Pittsburgh last season before being let go from the team this offseason. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles and was expected to retire — but it seems that isn’t the case and he’ll be allowed the opportunity to earn an active roster spot this season.
Jack, a UCLA alum, was a second-round draft pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft. He played six seasons for the Jaguars before moving to Pittsburgh and leading the Steelers with a 104-tackle season in 2022. He posted his career-high of 118 tackles in 2020 with the Jags.
For his career stats, Jack has 617 tackles in 104 games played with three interceptions, 29 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.
Also signed were safeties Trenton Thompson (active roster) and Eric Rowe (practice squad) while also placing fellow defensive back Elijah Riley on the IR.
Steelers RB Najee Harris expresses frustration after loss to Browns: ‘Just tired of this s***’
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris made his frustrations clear on Sunday following his team’s fourth loss of the season in which the offense put up just 10 points. Although the Steelers are still above .500 with a 6-4 record, Harris doesn’t see them getting very far with offensive performances like they had against Cleveland.
“I look at it like how long is this sh** gonna last,” Harris said to reporters in the post-game locker room. “It’s a good record but this is the NFL. Winning like how we did is not going to get us nowhere.”

Harris also alluded to trouble behind the scenes in the Pittsburgh facilities, but he didn’t get into specifics or call anyone out.
“There’s just a lot of stuff that just goes around that you guys don’t see,” Harris said. “I guess I’m trying to say it’s just, I’m just at a point, man, where I’m just tired of this s**t.”
At the beginning of the month, Harris responded to some of his teammates’ complaints about the season with pointed criticism.
“We can’t just keep pointing fingers,” Harris said. “We’ve got to point at ourselves. It’s the man in the mirror, really. This is the NFL. Everybody runs the same damn plays. Everyone disguises them differently. It’s how we play it. Honestly, I don’t think we’re playing with that edge right now.”
