Stephen A. Smith compares Jerry Jones to Joe Biden in harsh Dallas Cowboys criticism
Stephen A. Smith usually takes pleasure in the misfortunes of the Dallas Cowboys, but Jerry Jones‘ franchise has him feeling pity instead at the moment.
The ESPN analyst loves to make fun of the Cowboys, but Jones’ actions coupled with the franchise’s terrible play on the field has him wondering if something is seriously wrong with the team. Smith poignantly compared Jones to President Joe Biden, wondering if he’s fit for the responsibility he has in Dallas.
“I’m not joking when I say this, I’m getting very, very worried about Jerry Jones, because the only thing that’s worse than the team’s play is his press conferences, or whatever you want to call it, when he’s in front of the reporters, where he says one thing after another after another,” Smith stated, via First Take. “I find myself thinking about, you know, Joe Biden, before he backed out of running for reelection, and he’s only — listen he’s only one month, I think Jerry is one month older than President Joe Biden, for crying out loud. I remember when I was on the airwaves, literally, guys nine, ten, months ago, and like, ‘Yo, he can’t — he can’t be the nominee. He ain’t going to make it to the Democratic National Convention. Y’all got to change. Y’all got to do something to change.’
“I’m looking at Jerry, and I find myself asking, ‘Where the hell is Stephen Jones? Where the hell are his family members?’ Who is — I know he’s the owner and the President and the GM, and I get all that, but somebody in your inner-circle has to be able to stop you from just adding just fuel to the fire, because it is so bad right now. They’ve literally taken the fun out of it.”

When Smith is the voice of reason for the Cowboys of all teams, that’s how you know the star has fallen pretty far. Jones has always been the vocal leader of the franchise, but perhaps it’s time for him to take a step back and move on after a disastrous 2024.
Who knows how much further Dallas can fall, but they’re showing zero signs of life at the moment. Stephen A. Smith has his fun at the Cowboys expense, but right now he’s just sad for Jerry Jones and his team.
