Stephen A. Smith has message for Tom Brady amid Kim Kardashian rumors

With the dead season in full swing for most major pro sports, Stephen A. Smith used a few minutes of his podcast this week to send a message to retired NFL legend Tom Brady.

Following the celebrity-packed party hosted by Michael Rubin, the Daily Mail reported rumored sparks flying between Brady and Kim Kardashian. The two divorcees have been linked together since the QB’s separation from Gisele Bundchen, however, further reporting from DM claimed the two “barely spoke” at the party.

Regardless of where the relationship is – or is not – heading, Smith decided to give Brady his blessing to “do his thing.”

“Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian. You know, she’s been divorced. They’re just friends, ain’t nothing going on,” Smith said. “My point is, what if it was? Now, I don’t have a problem with that. Tom Brady, do your thing, bro. I mean, do your thing.

“My point is if Tom Brady ends up, you know, getting his groove on — I’m quite sure we shouldn’t have a problem with that. I’m really quite clear. There’s absolutely, positively nothing wrong with Tom Brady if he was with Kim Kardashian.”

As if the Kardashian rumors weren’t enough, the Daily Mail shared later in the week that Brady was actually “getting cozy” with 32-year-old model/actress Emily Ratajkowski at the party.

Dave Portnoy begs Tom Brady: ‘We’re better than that’

Although it’s not completely out of his typical lane, Smith’s rant was seemingly in response to Barstool Sports founder and self-proclaimed No. 1 Tom Brady guy Dave Portnoy.

Portnoy recently begged the former quarterback not to pursue the second-eldest Kardashian sister after the rumors surfaced.

“We’re not dating the Kardashians, Tom,” Portnoy said in a video posted to Instagram last Thursday. “If you go down to that level, we all go down. We’re better than that.”

Portnoy went on to reduce the billionaire mother of four to a “Daily News, a Page Six, a reality TV girl.”

At the same time, the One Bite Reviews host added he probably wasn’t the best person to offer dating advice since the 46-year-old is in a relationship with a “much younger” woman.

Aside from his dating life, Tom Brady is preparing during the 2023 season to assume a new job in 2024. Brady agreed to a 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX Sports before his first retirement that will allow him to immediately become the network’s No. 1 color analyst.
