Sterling Shepard had one of the more unique intros you’ll ever see on Sunday Night Football. In the Buccaneers-Cowboys matchup, the former Oklahoma star had his daughters join him during his introduction video before the game started.

Shepard has had a very solid, but not exceptional NFL career. From 2016-2023 with the New York Giants, he hauled in 372 catches for 4,095 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns. His best season with the Giants came in 2018, when he snagged 66 catches for 872 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He was selected in the 2016 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. They picked him in the second round of the draft with the No. 40 overall selection.

During his college football days with the Oklahoma Sooners, Shepard cemented his legacy as one of the greatest players to ever suit up at the school. He finished his career with 233 catches for 3,482 receiving yards, ranking him second in OU history in both categories. He’s just ahead of CeeDee Lamb on that list and right behind Ryan Broyles, who is the school’s all-time leader in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns.

Shepard’s numbers at OU gradually improved, with him posting his best season last (2015). That year, he hauled in 86 catches for 1,288 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. His first two years in Norman, he reeled in over 600 receiving yards in back-to-back seasons. Then in 2014, Shepard brought in 51 catches for 970 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
