Stetson Bennett to rejoin Los Angeles Rams for offseason workouts
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett is expected to rejoin the team for offseason workouts, general manager Les Snead said Monday at the NFL Owners Meetings in Orlando.
“What we’ve done is, Dave Ragone, our new quarterback coach, had a relationship with Stetson from last year’s draft, being in Atlanta, so I know Dave’s step one was him connecting with Stetson and rekindling their relationship,” Snead said, via the team’s website. “I know he’s in Dallas working out. I know Dave has shown some clips of Stetson working out at the place where, I’m pretty sure it’s where he trained coming out, but I know it’s in Dallas. So, he’s looking good. So right now, our plan is to onboard him for our offseason workouts.”
Bennett, the Rams’ 2023 fourth-round selection out of Georgia, has been on the reserve/non-football illness list since September of last year. Head coach Sean McVay said at the time it had nothing to do with the shoulder injury he was dealing with ahead of the Week 1 season opener.
Bennett, 26, was a two-year starter for the Bulldogs (2021-22). He led Georgia to back-to-back national titles — named the College Football Playoff National Championship Offensive MVP each year. Across four seasons of play, Bennett threw for 8,429 yards, 66 touchdowns and 21 interceptions on 65.1% passing. Bennett was a Heisman Finalist in 2022.

Stetson Bennett working out in Dallas ahead of rejoining Rams
McVay provided an update on Bennett, who has been working out in Dallas, last month.
“I think the first thing is you connect with him, which we’ll do that at the appropriate time, and you figure out, where are you at and is this something that we feel like is best for him and for our football team to bring him back into this ecosystem?” McVay said. “Those will be conversations that we will have. And then, I think once we have a better idea of what we’ll do with that, then that will give clarity.”
The Rams currently have four quarterbacks on the roster: Matthew Stafford, Jimmy Garoppolo and Dresser Winn.
