Alex Bowman spoke to Dale Earnhardt Jr. about partying hard after his victory at the Chicago Street Race. On Dale Jr. Download, Bowman, who admitted to still being hungover, shared details about his celebration which lasted all night long.

“Pretty much everybody was still there when the sun came up,” Bowman said. A couple people had kind of started to disappear. Some people were asleep upstairs.”

Earnhardt then asked what Bowman and his crew were doing for 12 hours. “We didn’t get home until like 2 or something,” Bowman revealed. “It was a pretty late start, but we hung out. There was Taco Bell and pizza here when we got home. Chloe had us hooked up when we got home, which was good. We kind of just hung out, had a good time drinking. Everybody ended up in the pool at some point.”

Bowman continued: “I ended up in the pool with all my clothes on, shoes and everything. To be honest with you, last night when I was trying to live my life and eat some food, I ordered some DoorDash, and I went to the front door, and all of somebody’s clothes were on my front porch.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. shares funny story with Alex Bowman

Bowman’s partying story led to Earnhardt sharing a funny story of a celebration he had after earning a victory at Martinsville. “We’re rocking out, we’re playing music or whatever,” Earnhardt began. “Well, they had a replay of the race they were running on I guess whatever network it was. They just decided to play the race over, so we got that on the TV. We’re watching it a little bit and things are happening in the race like people are running over each other, spinning each other out.

“My teammate at the time, Casey Khane, was at the house partying with us, drinking with us. And this is the Martinsville race where him and [Brian] Vickers got into it. When that came on and we started all reacting to it, whatever our reaction was (I didn’t think it was bad) pissed off Casey, and he left, right then and there left the freaking party.”

Bowman had every right to have a big celebration as it was his first win in 80 races. The victory also clinches Bowman a spot in the Cup Series playoffs which begin on Sept. 8.
