The Team USA women’s gymnastics squad captured the gold medal on Tuesday in Paris and then took to social media to celebrate, with veteran Suni Lee leading the charge.

Lee posted a video to TikTok featuring the squad, set to some lyrics from Kanye West.

The lyrics? Kanye’s 2005 Grammy’s acceptance speech, where he voices the line: “Everybody want to know what I would do if I didn’t win… I guess we’ll never know.”

After the first half of Kanye’s speech plays, Suni Lee and the team bust out their gold medals for the finale: “I guess we’ll never know.”

Pretty cold.

The win for Team USA marked the first gold in the main team event since 2016. It was the third Team Gymnastics gold at the Olympics for the Americans, with the other coming in 2012.

The squad took silver at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, so today’s feat was a nice bounce-back for the veteran-laden squad.

Simone Biles clinched the top spot for the United States, performing an incredible floor routine to secure the gold. Biles put up a score of 14.666, to give the US a final team score of 171.296.

Italy finished second with a score of 165.494 to take home the silver medal, while Brazil earned the bronze with a score of 164.497.

The United States started off on the vault on Tuesday, earning a score of 44.110. Biles had the highest vault score at 14.900.

From there, the US went to the bars. The team score on bars was 43.332. It was Suni Lee who led the way on bars, coming in with a score of 14.566.

The beam was the third rotation for the United States. Team USA came in with a score of 41.699 on the beam. Suni Lee once again led the way with a score of 14.600.

Finally, the United States finished with the floor, performing well in its fourth rotation to secure the gold medal and the right to celebrate on TikTok.
