The dancer who displayed the Palestinian flag during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show will be banned from all future NFL events.

According to the Associated Press, the dancer is banned from events but will not be charged with any criminal activity. That came directly from New Orleans police.

“The individual hid the item on his person and unveiled it late in the show,” the NFL said. “No one involved with the production was aware of the individual’s intent.”

Initially, a person with a Palestinian flag was tackled by security after making it to the stage. The NFL later confirmed the person was part of the 400-member field cast.

This was seemingly an isolated incident and Lamar and crew were not involved.

“Roc Nation, the entertainment company that produced Sunday night’s show, said the act ‘was neither planned nor part of the production and was never in any rehearsal,’” Schefter wrote. “The show continued without interruption, and it did not seem the person was shown on the broadcast of Lamar’s performance.”

There were a number of prop bets available prior to the Kendrick Lamar halftime show for fans wanting to bet on how the performance would unfold. On Thursday, Odds Shark shared the betting lines for numerous prop bets surrounding Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show.

Super Bowl LIX was set to be Lamar’s first Super Bowl halftime show as the headline performer. However, he also performed at Super Bowl LVI, along with fellow rap legends Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Mary J. Blige.

In his limited time in the spotlight, he performed his hit songs m.A.A.d city and Alright. Since then, the award-winning rapper has released two albums: Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers (2022) and GNX (2024). Alas, oddsmakers weren’t convinced that Lamar wouldn’t open up his performance on Sunday with one of his classic hits.
