Super Bowl LIX has kicked off, and the scorebug is getting a lot of talk for all the wrong reasons. FOX debuted a new scorebug, and it looks like it’s missing a few things.

Many fans reacted to the scorebug on social media. One person wrote, “Sh*tty AF! Who the hell came up with that?” while another person added. “Looks disgusting.”

“The new Fox scorebug/graphics package is absolutely heinous,” another fan wrote. “It looks like an older person’s jumbo iPhone text font.”

While FOX has debuted a new scorebug during the Super Bowl before, this version doesn’t seem to be liked by the majority of fans. It will be interesting to see if FOX decides to keep it for the 2025 NFL season.

Super Bowl LIX is a rematch of Super Bowl LVII between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs are looking to win their third consecutive Super Bowl, while the Eagles are seeking their second title since the 2017 season.

Andy Reid is the focus of Super Bowl LIX

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has led the team to three Super Bowl wins in the last five seasons. He has deep ties with the Eagles as he was the head coach of the team from 1999 to 2012 and led the team to a Super Bowl appearance during the 2004 season.

“I certainly feel I’m indebted to a lot of people in the NFL, and Coach Reid is a big part of that,” Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said this week, per NFL.com. “It was always offensive line and defensive line. It was obsessiveness about it and we won. So to me, it was very clear that’s where it starts. I learned that from him.”

“There’s certain core principles of culture — it started with Andy — and we don’t deviate from that culture,” Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said. “Every time we’ve hired a coach, it has been unique to the moment, but they incorporate the core principles we have. We’re not asking them to create the culture. We provide what we have and we think they are the best at that moment to accentuate it all. It’s one question I don’t want to answer. You can call it the secret sauce. It’s self-evident to us. When we watch the coaching carousel, it almost doesn’t relate to what we’re trying to accomplish. The core organizational principles are in cement.”
