Super Bowl odds: Point spreads released for all four potential matchups for 49ers, Chiefs, Lions, Ravens
By Sunday evening, we’ll have a Super Bowl LVIII matchup with two weeks in between to talk each other’s ears off about the two clubs who make it.
But before the AFC and NFC championship games unfold this afternoon and evening, FanDuel has already put in some early leg work on the Super Bowl betting lines — famously, the most bet sporting event in the world. They’ve already assigned a point spread, money line odds, and an over/under total for each of the four possible matchups.
Below, you can read up on how the odds shake out for every possible contest in this year’s Super Bowl.
Ravens vs. 49ers
If oddsmakers are to be taken seriously, then this is your most likely Super Bowl matchup by far. The AFC and NFC No. 1 seeds are both decent home favorites in their respective title games and have been head-and-shoulders the best team in the two leagues from start to finish this season.
If these two sides do take care of business to meet in the Super Bowl, FanDuel has posted the theoretical opening line at -1.5 points in favor of Baltimore. The margin is razor thin, though, as San Francisco is still -104 on the money line with the Ravens just ahead at -112. The over/under in this potential contest is 47.5 total points.
Ravens vs. Lions
If Detroit can go into San Francisco and pull the upset to continue what’s been the feel-good story of the NFL playoffs, FanDuel would still believe they are not the team of destiny if they met the Ravens. Baltimore gets the heavier nod in this one as a 4.5-point favorite over Detroit in that possible matchup.
Meanwhile, Baltimore is a -240 money line favorite with the Lions getting plenty of juice as +198 underdog. Also, given that the Lions can really rack up some points, and aren’t quite as sound defensively, as the Niners, FanDuel posts a slightly higher over/under for this game vs. the first one with a total of 49.

Chiefs vs. 49ers
Well, if Kansas City and San Francisco both win on Sunday, they’d set up a Super Bowl rematch after the two sides meet each other back in February of 2020, the last major sports championship game before the pandemic. Of course, it was Patrick Mahomes who found Tyreek Hill for a late deep pass to help seal his very first ring.
Unfortunately for Mahomes and the entire Chiefs media circus including the Kelce boys and Taylor Swift, FanDuel expects some 49ers revenge in a potential rematch. They’d peg SF as a -3 point favorite and -146 on the money line. But that leaves a pretty scary proposition: Patrick Mahomes and KC as the Super Bowl underdogs at +124 on the money line. The over/under is 47.5 total points.
Chiefs vs. Lions
In what is by far the least likely Super Bowl matchup according to the oddsmakers, Kansas City and Detroit will both need to travel to the No. 1 seeds and win. If so, that sets up the most explosive matchup of the four, including the highest projected over/under at 50.5 points for these offensive-minded clubs.
Against a Lions franchise that’s no stranger to their role as underdogs, Kansas City would be favored by 3.5 points and stand at -180 on the money line. Meanwhile, Dan Campbell could give one more fiery speech about Detroit’s inherent national disrespect before leading these Lions onto the field as +152 dogs on the ML.
Enjoy the best day of football all year long as just three games remain before we call it curtains on another year of American football.
