Updated Super Bowl LVIII odds revealed after Wild Card round concludes

The opening Wild Card Round of the NFL playoffs did not disappoint, filled with upset wins and numerous teams proving that they have a shot at winning the Super Bowl this season.
From the Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers all pulling out upset wins, to the Detroit Lions winning their first playoff game in over three decades, Super Wild Card Weekend was filled with plenty of exciting action and storylines.
Eight teams now remain in the playoff field ahead of the Divisional Round of the playoffs, and following the first week of postseason matchups, FanDuel has updated their outright betting odds for Super Bowl LVIII. Check out who FanDuel believes the favorites and the longshots are to take home the Lombardi Trophy below.
San Francisco 49ers (+175)

The San Francisco 49ers are FanDuel’s favorite to win the Super Bowl after the No. 1 seed in the NFC received a first-round bye in the playoffs. Additionally, the 49ers were able to rest several of their key players in the final week of the regular season with the top seed already secured.
The 49ers were the only team in the NFL this season to boast a top-three scoring offense and defense. And with offense playmakers like Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle and defensive difference makers like Fred Warner and Joey Bosa, it’s hard to deny that they’re the most loaded roster remaining in the postseason.
Baltimore Ravens (+270)

Like the 49ers, the Baltimore Ravens also had a first-round bye in the playoffs as the AFC’s top seed. Baltimore ended the regular season with the NFL’s best record with a 13-4 finish to close out the year.
The Ravens took home the defensive triple crown this season, becoming the first team in league history to lead the NFL in sacks, opponent points per game, and takeaways. Not to mention their quarterback Lamar Jackson is FanDuel’s favorite to take home this year’s MVP award. It’s also worth mentioning that the Ravens defeated the 49ers resoundingly in Week 16 on the road in a 33-19 victory.
Buffalo Bills (+490)

The Buffalo Bills were looking from the outside of the playoffs following a 6-6 start to the season. But after five straight wins to end the regular season and defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card Round, they now have the third-best odds of winning the Super Bowl according to FanDuel.
Buffalo has been keeping things close lately, with all but one of their victories during their win streak decided by more than one score. But they looked dominant against the Steelers, defeating Pittsburgh 31-17 thanks to quarterback Josh Allen‘s 277 all-purpose yards and four total touchdowns.
Kansas City Chiefs (+700)

The defending Super Bowl champions have the fourth-best odds of winning the Super Bowl yet again following their playoff win over the Miami Dolphins. The Chiefs’ playoff matchup was one of the coldest games in NFL history at negative 4 degrees at kickoff, but that didn’t stop them from taking care of business.
Kansas City’s defense was the second-best in the league in points allowed this season and they definitely showed out against the Dolphins, holding their explosive offensive attack to just 7 points. Rookie wide receiver Rashee Rice also made a statement in his first career playoff game with eight catches for 130 yards and a score.

Detroit Lions (+900)

The Detroit Lions broke the streak on Sunday, defeating the Los Angeles Rams in a close contest to secure their first playoff win in 32 years. The Lions bested the Rams 24-23 in a game highlighted by the two teams’ 2021 trade that involved both starting quarterbacks.
Lions quarterback Jared Goff was surgical, completing 81.5% of his passes for 277 and a touchdown in Detroit’s win. He’ll look to replicate that again as the Lions host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in another home playoff game in the Motor City.
Green Bay Packers (+3000)

The Green Bay Packers stunned the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round, defeating Dallas 48-32 to hand them their first home loss of the season. But don’t be fooled, Green Bay led 48-16 in the fourth quarter with 16 of Dallas’ points coming in the last six minutes of the game.
The Packers were the youngest team in the NFL this season, but they surely didn’t flinch on their biggest stage yet. Quarterback Jordan Love excelled in his first career playoff game, throwing for 272 yards and three touchdowns with nearly a perfect passer rating in his postseason debut.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3300)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were another underdog that blew out their opponent in the first round of the playoffs. The Bucs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in a shocking 32-9 home win on Monday just one year removed from the Eagles making it to the Super Bowl.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield put on a show, throwing for 337 yards and three touchdown passes in his first season with Tampa Bay. The Bucs’ defense also played stellar, holding the Eagles’ potent rushing attack to just 42 yards on the ground and sacking quarterback Jalen Hurts three times, also forcing a safety.
Houston Texans (+3300)

Rounding out the odds are the Houston Texans, who got it done on both sides of the ball to dominate the Cleveland Browns in a surprising 45-14 win. Rookie quarterback CJ Stroud continued to build on his impressive first season in the league, outplaying veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to deliver Houston their first playoff win since 2019.
Stroud dazzled with 274 yards and three touchdown passes, setting a rookie record for most touchdown passes in a playoff game. Houston’s defense also wreaked havoc on Flacco, returning his two interceptions for touchdowns and sacking him four times in Saturday’s game.
