Supercross star Haiden Deegan arrested for street racing, stunt driving

Bad news for Haiden Deegan, Supercross and Motocross superstar and younger brother of Hailie Deegan. While in Walton County, Florida, the racer and multiple-time champion was arrested for street racing and stunt driving.

There are not many details on what exactly played out. However, information from the Walton County police lists a single charge, violation of street racing and stunt driving law.

Haiden Deegan posted a $1,000 bond and as of right now does not have a court date. Deegan was arrested just before 10:00 PM ET on Friday night.

All things considered, is this that big of a deal? He is a dirtbike racer and he didn’t get a DUI and wasn’t charged with reckless driving. Still, as a professional you can’t be doing races or tricks in the street. Not the right place or the right time.

Haiden Deegan is only 19 years old. He has maturing to do and growing up to do. He will be a big threat to win another AMA Motocross championship and the SuperMotocross championship.

Now, I know that his nickname is Danger Boy, but Deegan has to chill out a bit. One mistake like this isn’t a big deal, but he will need to keep his nose clean moving forward. The last thing he wants is for this to become a common occurrence.

Haiden, Hailie Deegan could have big 2025 seasons

We know that Haiden Deegan is going to be back to doing what he does on his bike this year. However, his older sister Hailie Deegan has a new opportunity in front of her. She has made the move from NASCAR to the Indy NXT series.

Last year with AM Racing did not go according to plan. Hailie lost her seat halfway through the season. To her credit, no one else, even Cup champion Joey Logano could do much better than she did with the car.

This season, Harrison Burton has taken over the AM Racing ride full-time. That has been a promising partnership early in the season. They appear to be working better than Deegan and this organization a year ago.

Haiden Deegan had a slipup. I’m sure that he and his team and his family will be working hard to make up for that mistake. Meanwhile, Hailie is trying to earn her way in a brand new series. Her first race of the year wasn’t horrible and she brought the car home clean on the lead lap.
