Today at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Isabella Robusto and Taylor Reimer made history in the ARCA Menards Series. As the NASCAR Cup Series deals with rain in Michigan, the dirt race in Illinois went without a hitch.
Isabella Robusto finished the race P2 with Taylor Reimer right behind her in P3. It is the first time two women have finished in the top-5 of an ARCA Menards Series race.
Robusto is an up-and-coming young talent. Reimer spent four years at Oklahoma University as a cheerleader for the Sooners. Today, as Venturini Motorsports teammates, they made ARCA history.
Isabella Robusto, P2, earns the highest finish for a woman in the series since Hailie Deegan, also at the Illinois dirt race. Reimer is fresh off her first career win in the Limited Late Model category at Hickory. A sprint car driver in her roots, the dirt suited Reimer.
Venturini Motorsports made history by starting four women in the same race today. All four, finished in the top-10 today. Toni Breidinger was just out of the top-5 with a P6 finish. Amber Balcaen finished P8.
William Sawalich dominated the race. He was able to lead every lap on his way to his sixth ARCA victory of the season.

Isabella Robusto, Taylor Reimer makes history
Toyota Racing Development is doing a fantastic job of developing talent. William Sawalich wins the race, Isabella Robusto and Taylor Reimer have great races and so do their teammates. Toyota is also investing in women in motorsports.
Robusto and Reimer showed today that they can hang with the best in ARCA. Those are their peers. As developing drivers, this is where they should want to be, but also should want so much more.
Both Robusto and Reimer are athletes. Robusto played high school football and other sports, finding a lot of success. Reimer was a D-1 cheerleader after being an accomplished young racer prior to high school.
Both Isabella Robusto and Taylor Reimer are ones to watch. As far as women in NASCAR go, they could have a shot at becoming regulars in one of the national series. There are a lot of talented women, and this group of drivers is only paving the way for the ones coming up.
