It’s one thing to be a celebrity. It’s another to be a celebrity with an allegiance in the Super Bowl. Taylor Swift found that out the hard — or at least confusing — way during Super Bowl LIX on Sunday.

During the first quarter of the game, Swift was put on screen on the video boards at the Caesar’s Superdome.

Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles were not a fan, booing loudly. Swift seemed surprised by the reaction, looking around quite a bit before turning to friends to inquire what was going on. Check it out below.

Swift, of course, is dating Kansas City star tight end Travis Kelce, thus the reason for the Eagles’ fans booing her. She’s likely to get similar treatment the rest of the game. Just a natural reaction for the fans.

As far as Philly goes, the Eagles took the early lead in Super Bowl LIX, scoring midway through the first quarter on a touchdown run from quarterback Jalen Hurts. The score was 7-0 Philadelphia with 6:15 remaining in the first quarter.

The numbers when Taylor Swift is in attendance

Swift, girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has proven to be quite the good luck charm for Kansas City since first attending a game in a box at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 24, 2023. The Chiefs have won 13 of 16 games she has attended, including Super Bowl LVIII over the San Francisco 49ers.

Swift is back inside a box at the Caesars Superdome as the Chiefs go for an unprecedented three-peat.

But the question on everyone’s mind is will Kelce drop down to one knee as confetti rains down on the Chiefs? Wouldn’t you know it, Kelce was asked about it on Monday. His answer? Essentially wait and see.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Kelce said.

NFL insider weighs in on Travis Kelce’s playing future after Super Bowl LIX

Kelce, 35, is playing in his fifth Super Bowl — all since 2019. Will he continue to play after this season, or will he hang it up and move to the next stage in his life like his brother Jason Kelce? The NFL Network crew chimed in on Kelce’s next move on a broadcast ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

“Let’s get to the news on Travis Kelce, the star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, one of the best tight ends to ever play in the NFL,” Ian Rapoport said. “My understanding is that there is a real possibility that this is the last time Travis Kelce plays football.”

In 11 seasons, all with Kansas City, Kelce has logged 1,004 career catches for 12,151 yards and 77 touchdowns.

“I’m told he is undecided, guys, about his future,” Rapoport said. “Going to take a little time after the game, assess where he is and then make a decision. I know Travis Kelce talked this week, said he can envision himself playing a lot of football. Says he has a lot of good football left.

“But he is also a rare player who can actually make more off the field than on the field. He is set to make a decision soon but certainly has not made one yet.”
