Taylor Swift donates $5 million to Feeding America for Hurricane Helene, Milton relief effort
Taylor Swift made a huge donation to Feeding America for hurricane relief. The organization announced that the 14-time Grammy Award winner donated $5 million for relief efforts following Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift,” Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot said in a statement posted to the organization’s social media. “This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms.
“Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead. Thank you, Taylor, for standing with us in the movement to end hunger and for helping communities in need.”
Swift, who is dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is no stranger to giving large donations and supporting people. Earlier this year, the 34-year-old gave $100,000 to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the DJ who was killed in the Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade mass shooting. And PEOPLE reported last year that Swift gave bonuses totaling over $55 million to everyone working on her Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift seems to enjoy Kansas City Chiefs games
The $5 million donation comes after Swift attended the Chiefs game in Kansas City on Monday night. She saw the Chiefs beat the New Orleans Saints 26-13 to remain undefeated (5-0). Swift has attended 16 NFL games since last year, including the Super Bowl in February. She seems to enjoy football as Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed that Swift is drawing up offensive plays.
“I think it’s been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football,” Mahomes said in August, via Kevin Patra of NFL.com. “I know being a girl dad, how cool it is for me to see like these little girls — these daughters — and how much they’re loving to spend time with their dad, watching football. And then meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and cool she is. I think that’s been special to me because she’s, like you said, the most famous person in the world, she could not be [genuine].
“And she’s really interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions. Started drawing up plays. We might have to put one in.”
