The Swifties have retaliated against CJ Gardner-Johnson in a personal way following the shot that he took after Super Bowl LIX.

Gardner-Johnson posted a photo of him looking at Travis Kelce on his Instagram story following the 40-22 win in the Super Bowl. That picture included a comment that hinted that Kelce should have remained with Kayla Nicole, his ex-girlfriend, rather than now being with Taylor Swift with that caption notably comparing the bodies of the two women. That has now led people in Swift’s huge fanbase to get back at him by leaving poor reviews on King’s Grill, which is his mother’s restaurant in Rockledge, Florida.

Because of that, Yelp is monitoring the restaurant’s page due to those reviews. Google has also seemingly removed many of the negative, targeted reviews.

Gardner-Johnson finished with three tackles in the Super Bowl win for Philadelphia on Sunday. Kelce then caught four of his six targets to finish with 49 yards.

It’s unfortunate that anyone off the field, especially family members and girlfriends, got involved and critiqued following the on-field play. It’s an unsurprising reaction to his post, though, considering the size and enthusiasm of Swift’s fanbase.

Gardner-Johnson airs it out on tense moment with Kelce, postgame post about Taylor Swift

C.J. Gardner-Johnson has cleared the air about his crass post-Super Bowl troll of Travis Kelce.

“Competitive guys. He’s a great tight end. There’s nothing personal there,” Gardner-Johnson explained on ‘SportsCenter’. “It’s just a little football talk but there’s nothing ongoing with that. I hope he’s doing good and we’ll see him next year, hopefully.”

During a Tuesday afternoon appearance on ‘SportsCenter’, Gardner-Johnson addressed his postgame Instagram post in which he suggested that Kelce “should’ve stayed w(ith) that thick s****”, a clear reference to Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole, as opposed to his current one in Taylor Swift.
