Comedian Jo Koy decided to poke fun at Taylor Swift and the NFL and safe to say, it fell pretty flat at the Golden Globes.

That’s putting it lightly as some would say he crashed and burned on his Swift joke. Swift, the pop star and mega-celebrity, got her football fix this season by watching the Kansas City Chiefs and boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Yes, there were a lot of shots of Swift during games on broadcasts, but Koy’s joke missed the mark, even if he is a funny guy.

You hear that? Not many laughs and a stern look from Swift as she sipped her drink. She’ll remember that one “all too well” for her next album, we’re sure of it.

Heck, at this rate, Swift might be a part of the Chiefs’ franchise.

The pop music superstar has been a hit for the NFL, with TV ratings soaring due to Swifties tuning in. Chiefs players have gotten an up-close look at the dynamic, and according to quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Swift has grown to now be a part of the team.

“She’s just part of Chiefs kingdom now. She’s part of the team,” Mahomes said in a recent interview on CBS Mornings, via The Huffington Post. “It’s been cool to kind of interact with her, because she’s top-tier at her profession, and see how she drives. And it’s cool that she’s embraced Brittany, and they’ve built a friendship as well.”

While Swift has been good for the NFL’s business, and obviously, for Kelce, a segment of NFL fans will tell you they’re turned off by the coverage of her. Swift herself doesn’t care what any Brad or Chad thinks.

“I’m just there to support Travis,” Swift recently told Time. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

Swift even admitted she has no idea when or how much the broadcasts are showing her throughout games.

“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” Swift said. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when then [sic] camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”

As for Kelce, he’s enjoying his time thus far with Swift, and recently admired her publicly for how smart she is.

“I’ve never been a man of words,” Kelce told The Wall Street Journal. “Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f—ing mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.”
