Tennessee Titans RB Hassan Haskins arrested for domestic violence
Tennessee Titans’ running back Hassan Haskins and his girlfriend were both jailed on Thursday following a string of domestic violence disputes between them. The former Michigan star reportedly strangled her after she “liked” another man’s Instagram photo. He also flashed a firearm after she ripped a chain from his neck, according to Wayne Steen of scoopnashville.com.
There were numerous incidents involving Haskins and his girlfriend within the past few weeks.
According to police records, Haskins saw his girlfriend like an Instagram photo of another man around noon on June 22nd. The two had an argument and she began to throw his shoes onto the floor. That caused him to get angry and demand that she didn’t touch his stuff. When she didn’t stop, he reportedly pushed her to the ground, causing an injury to the back of her head, per Steen’s report.
Per the report, Green said that Haskins then “pulled her from the closet as she fought back and tossed her onto the bed, where he strangled her with both hands for approximately 10-15 seconds. Once he released her, the two exchanged slaps and continued fighting. He eventually threw her to the ground, where she fell atop a dog crate and was strangled a second time. He fled the home shortly after, and she took photos of bruises to her face, neck, and shoulder which she provided to police.”
On June 29th, Haskins and Green were at a restaurant discussing the end of their relationship. Haskins left the restaurant, leaving Green to get an Uber to go back to her place. When Green returned to her home, she found Haskins already inside. She threw a glass at him, shattering it, and locking herself in her bedroom. Green said Haskins kicked and punched through the door and broke it in half. The two then argued and she ripped a $5,000 chain from his neck, breaking it.
The former Michigan star then shattered her phone. She got Haskins’ old iPhone so that she could call her mother. When she turned on the phone, she found the screen filled with notifications and messages from his Snapchat. There were messages with numerous naked women and his chats with them.
Green then shattered that phone and assaulted Haskins’ physically, which she said was from being extremely upset about the Snapchat messages. Green then got a knife from the kitchen and went to the garage to slash the tires of Haskins’ car. He reportedly cocked a gun and said, “I hope you would!”

During a police interview about another incident, Haskins said that Makiah Green attacked him with a broom and strangled him from behind. Haskins showed police a red bump on his back that he thought was caused by Green assaulting him.
