Tennessee Titans reportedly shopping running back Derrick Henry

Derrick Henry could shockingly be on the move.
According to Mike Silver of Bally Sports, the Titans are shopping the former Alabama star, and he could be part of their exodus of veteran players.
“According to my sources — all of them current general managers — Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry, Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey and Arizona Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins are among the players who’ve been shopped in recent days,” wrote Silver.
Evidently, Henry isn’t the only big name that could be on the move, but it’s still shocking to see, as he’s been the backbone of the Titans offense over the last couple of seasons.
Throughout his NFL career, which has been spent with the Titans the entire time, the former Crimson Tide star has amassed 8,335 rushing yards, 78 rushing touchdowns, 1,244 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns. Henry’s helped the Titans get to the AFC Championship Game and capture the top overall seed in the conference, but he hasn’t been able to get them to a Super Bowl.

In addition to Henry, the Titans are expected to cut veteran defender Bud Dupree just two seasons into his deal, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. While that means their pass rush will take a hit, it will also save the team money that could be repurposed somewhere else on the roster.
During his NFL career, Dupree has posted 266 tackles and 46.5 sacks. He has also collected four fumble recoveries off 10 forced fumbles as well as an interception. During his two seasons with Tennessee, though, he produced just 35 tackles and two fumbles recoveries. Playing in just 22 games, 17 of which he started, was a big reason why.
While Dupree may be a more expected move, moving on from Derrick Henry would be truly shocking. Time will tell, but nothing is off the table for the Tennessee Titans.
