The Tennessee Titans have selected UCLA defensive end Oluwafemi Oladejo in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He was taken with the No. 52 overall pick in the draft.

Oladejo, who will still be 21 when the 2025 season begins, is an intriguing upside pick. The former Cal transfer, who joined UCLA ahead of the 2023 season, doesn’t have much experience playing edge but flashed his potential this past season with the Bruins.

He appeared in 12 games in 2024, recording 57 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. Oladejo finished his collegiate career with 240 combined tackles, 25 tackles for loss and six sacks.

As a recruit, Oladejo was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 547 overall recruit in the 2021 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. The linebacker turned edge rusher checked in as the No. 54 linebacker in the class and No. 43 overall player from the state of California, hailing from Cosumnes Oaks High School (Elk Grove, Calif.).

What NFL Draft analysts are saying about Oluwafemi Oladejo

If Oladejo puts it all together, watch out. NFL Network‘s Lance Zierlein wrote the following in evaluating Oladejo:

“Linebacker-turned-edge-rusher whose draft profile might have gone from dull to dynamic with the switch. Oladejo is long and aggressive in attacking blockers in front of him,” Zierlein wrote. “A lack of instincts in the run game and plans as a pass rusher could be temporary bumps in the road that should be smoothed with coaching.

“He greets and discards blockers with powerful, twitchy hands and still plays with a linebacker’s range and nose for the football despite his new position. He catches the “developmental” tag relative to his edge experience, but his traits and tape suggest he will make a difference sooner than expected.”
