Terrell Owens calls out Donovan McNabb over former Eagles QB's take on A.J. Brown, Jalen Hurts
Terrell Owens had a strong message for Donovan McNabb who shared his thoughts on A.J. Brown and Jalen Hurts. The former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver went to social media on Monday to respond to McNabb’s comments on a radio station in Philadephia, saying that if anyone has a problem with him, let’s talk one-on-one and not through reporters.
“Now this is interesting is coming from you,” Owens wrote on X. “Not how I interpreted it but funny thing is, I agree with you on the idea of if you have issue with someone that you go to them and not the media but here’s the thing I ‘never’ had an issue with you but it’s known that you had an issue with me so maybe you should’ve taken your advice here. Oh yeh…And we might have won Super 39 but that’s another story for another day.”
McNabb spoke about Bown and Hurts on Sports Radio 94 WIP. “It’s two grown men. If you got an issue, you come to me,” McNabb said. “Let’s not go through the media[…]because now it blows up and[…]now what you said is out there in front of everybody.”
Terrell Owens played for the Eagles from 2004 to 2005. He helped the Eagles reach the Super Bowl during the 2004 season but only played half of the 2005 season after being suspended by the team for his comments during an ESPN interview. At the time, Owens said the Eagles would be better off if Brett Favre was the quarterback. Owens apologized, but the Eagles moved on from him once the 2005 season ended.

More on Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb
“In that situation, it was kinda like, ‘That’s unreal.’ That’s just like me saying, ‘If we had Steve Largent, if we had Joe Jurevicius, we’d be undefeated,” Donovan McNabb told ESPN in 2006. “He’ll now have to answer the question for the whole week about me saying it.”
On Sunday, the Eagles defeated the Carolina Panthers 22-16 to improve to 11-2 on the year. However, Hurts only threw for 108 yards in the win, leading to Brown saying that “passing” is the biggest thing that needs improvement from the Eagles.
“I know 1 is trying and 11 could be better with how he responds to things,” Eagles defensive lineman Brandon Graham said on 94 WIP on Monday. “They were friends, but things have changed.”
