Maybe you can hear the point Terrell Owens is trying to make over the yelling of Michael Irvin and Richard Sherman, as Keyshawn Johnson joined in.

It was the first day of Skip Bayless’ shiny new Undisputed. When Shannon Sharpe left earlier this summer, Bayless decided to supercharge the panel, adding Irvin, Sherman and Johnson. All three definitely love to hear themselves talk. And all three were superstars on the football field.

But after the first day, Terrell Owens hopped into the fray, siding with the defensive back as opposed to his two fellow wideouts. He did this on X (Twitter), sharing the clip while adding his view.

At issue, whether a receiver should make the catch with his hands or his body. It’s the fun, in-the-weeds kind of football stuff that we all want to hear. It makes us so much smarter next time we’re at a tailgate.

Owens wrote: “Every receiver coach and head coach is cringing right now listening to this notion for receivers to catch with your body. In some cases, yes, but this isn’t bad advice, this is TERRIBLE advice … and I got more TDs than Key & Mike combined. I’m #teamsherman on this one.”

Maybe Undisputed will invite Terrell Owens as a guest

Generally, going with Sherman, an opinionated five-time All-Pro and Stanford grad, should get Owens’ receiver card revoked. But Owens does have a point. Just don’t tell it to Michael Irvin, who treated the Undisputed set like it was a tent revival. Sherman argued, but Irvin was the evangelist, trying to save your football soul. He rose from his seat as he screamed, “How are you going to tell me that’s the worst advice? I’m only one of the best to ever do it, playing this game.”

Finally, he spread out his arms as he pointed out that he’s “won championships on every level, on every level.” May I get an amen. Or a first down?

Johnson finally pushed his way into the football cacophony. It was like everyone at the table had slammed a couple of energy drinks before the show. Irvin hasn’t been on television since the days before the Super Bowl, so he probably had all sorts of yelling pent up in his body.

To think, this loudness started with a discussion on Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb.

Meanwhile, Terrell Owens only needed to watch it all from the comfort of his couch. Plus, Skip Bayless was so very quiet. When you’re talking receiver stuff, it’s best to let the grown folks talk.
