Terry Bradshaw took a big risk Monday: He shared a controversial take regarding Taylor Swift, potentially rattling the cages of Swifties around the world.

Making an appearance on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” the Pittsburgh Steelers legend and Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback insinuated that Taylor Swift lip syncs during her concerts. And before anyone questions Bradshaw’s credentials to speak on the topic, it should be noted the 75-year-old is a country music singer, and often performs at the Clay Cooper Theatre in Branson, Missouri.

“Maybe you don’t,” Bradshaw said, via Awful Announcing. “You cannot run around a stage and sing live [for three hours]. Nobody will probably admit that. But I do a show in Branson. I do 20 shows at the Clay Cooper Theatre and if I walk once all the way to the right side of the stage, I have to take a break.”

The topic of Swift’s on-stage performances came up during a discussion about Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — mainly his on-field production when the music superstar is in the stands. Bradshaw later revealed the only singer he’s ever seen that could run around the stage and continue to sing live.

“The only person I’ve ever seen that can really do that was Freddie Mercury of ‘Queen,’” Bradshaw said. “He would run everywhere, all live back then. Phenomenal breath control. And I’m sure Taylor and a lot of these really choreographed shows, a lot of that, they’re singing live to tape, so the tapes going on and they’re singing and if something happens to the tape, then boom. I’m just guessing.”

Terry Bradshaw says Kenny Pickett is the ‘perfect quarterback’ for this Steelers team

Bradshaw’s bold take on Swift followed another one of sorts during Sunday’s FOX postgame show. After Pickett led the Steelers to a 24-17 Week 7 victory over the Los Angeles Rams (3-4) Sunday, Bradshaw declared the 2022 first-round pick the “perfect quarterback” for Pittsburgh.

“I will tell you what, Pickett doesn’t throw for a lot of touchdowns, yet,” Bradshaw said on the FOX postgame show, via Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan. “In time he will. He is the perfect quarterback for this team. Very selfless type human being, he doesn’t mind handing the ball off. He’s great in the clutch and great under pressure, and you saw that again today.”

Pickett, statistically one of the most underperforming quarterbacks in the league entering Week 7, had arguably his best performance of the season in the win over the Rams. The 25-year-old threw for 230 yards on 17-of-25 passes to go along with a touchdown run. The Steelers’ 24 points are the second-most they’ve scored in a game this season.
