Texas A&M tight end Tre Watson has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, he announced in a graphic on his Twitter account on Saturday afternoon.

Watson spent just one season with the Aggies after transferring in from Fresno State, though he was productive in that lone campaign at the SEC level.

Tre Watson recorded 21 catches for 280 yards and a touchdown during the 2024 season. During that stretch, Watson started in 11 of 12 games for the Aggies. He had at least one catch in 10 games.

With the season closing, this has been a lifelong dream that I’ve worked towards and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to compete at the highest level,” Watson wrote. “I’m excited to announce… I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.”

In total during his college career, Watson logged 77 catches for 872 yards and five touchdowns. The bulk of that production came at Fresno State.

Tre Watson first began contributing as a freshman in 2021, when he recorded 10 catches for 134 yards. He followed that up with a quiet sophomore campaign in 2022, snagging eight catches for 80 yards.

Finally, Watson would hit paydirt for the first time in his college career as a junior in 2023. He found the end zone four different times, breaking out for 38 catches for 378 yards.

That earned him a shot at a higher level, and Texas A&M was all too willing to give him that shot.

Tre Watson thanked a handful of parties on his way out.

“The last 4 years have been the most exhilarating and rewarding times of my life,” he wrote. “I want to thank God for giving me the ability to play this game and I want to thank my family for the endless love and support, along with all of my coaches. To my teammates, I love y’all boys! You all will be my brothers for a lifetime.

“12th Man, you were amazing and this past year has been everything that I’ve ever dreamed of. Texas A&M is a special place and I will forever be an Aggie.”
