Texas Rangers wear Dallas Cowboys-themed jerseys
The Texas Rangers decided to pay special tribute to the Dallas Cowboys during Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Angels. The MLB club broke out some special uniforms for the occasion.
For Thursday’s game, the Rangers wore Cowboys-themed uniforms. And, to be honest, they looked pretty good. Jon Machota of The Athletic shared images of the unique look for the game.
A lot of fans seemed to be on-board with this special look for Thursday’s game. The jerseys received plenty of comments from social media.
“Don’t like the Rangers, but I love the Cowboys and these Jerseys are fire,” one social media user wrote. Another added, “These are a must get!”
Several other fans asked about getting their hands on these unique jerseys. So, if they’re available in the team store anywhere, you might start seeing a lot of folks in the Dallas area wearing them.
Unfortunately for the Rangers, these special uniforms didn’t bring much luck to the baseball diamond. Texas dropped a 5-3 contest to the Angels.
It shouldn’t be too much of a letdown for the team, which owns a three-game lead on the AL West. The Rangers also have the fourth-best record in baseball.

So, even though Thursday night’s outcome was a bummer for Rangers fans, the team is still in great shape. Plus, Texas won over a lot of fan with this Cowboys-themed jersey. Hopefully, we see it another time or two before the season ends.
Cowboys OL throws first pitch at Rangers game
To fit the theme for Thursday’s game, the Rangers welcomed Cowboys offensive lineman Tyler Smith to the park to throw out the first pitch. It wasn’t quite as bad as Travis Kelce’s in Cleveland earlier this year, but it wasn’t a great throw.
The ball got loose on Smith and he air-mailed his target. But, hey, that’s OK. He’s playing offensive line for a reason. He won’t be taking Dak Prescott’s job anytime soon.
Smith was a first-round selection in the 2022 NFL Draft for the Cowboys. He started all 17 regular season games as a rookie for Dallas last season, earning All-Rookie honors from the PFWA.
So, the NFL thing is off to a pretty good start for Smith. He probably doesn’t need to worry about throwing pitches in the MLB … unless he’s asked to throw out another first pitch in the future.
