Texas vs. UTSA odds: Early point spread released, How to Watch
Through two games, Texas looked the part of a College Football Playoff contender. The Longhorns cruised past Colorado State in the opener and put on a show against Michigan in Week 2, and the early point spread has been released for next week against UTSA.
Texas opened as a 32.5-point favorite in the Week 3 matchup against the Roadrunners, according to FanDuel. The over-under is set at 55.5.
Quinn Ewers put together a complete performance against Michigan. He completed 24 of 36 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns to move up the board as the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy through the first two weeks of the year.
The Longhorns defense also rose to the occasion. They held the Wolverines to just 80 rushing yards, and they didn’t score a touchdown until late in the game when Semaj Morgan made a highlight-reel play with two minutes left to play.

Steve Sarkisian had high praise for his team’s performance against Michigan, which drew plenty of attention as a Top-10 matchup. Considering the atmosphere of The Big House, he was proud of how the Longhorns rose to the occasion.
“I liked our poise and composure, we knew that was going to be needed today,” Sarkisian said. “That’s a really good team. They’re a really physical team. I thought we handled the environment early on and found our rhythm.”
Texas and UTSA have only squared off one previous time in history. That came in 2022 – Sarkisian’s second season with the Longhorns, who came away with the 41-22 victory at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. They’ll meet in that same spot next week in primetime with a 7 p.m. ET kickoff.
