Titans bench Will Levis for Mason Rudolph after fourth turnover, pick-six vs. Bengals
Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis was benched in the second half vs. the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday for backup Mason Rudolph.
Levis was taken out of the game following his fourth turnover of the game, which ended up being a pick-six for Bengals safety Geno Stone. It pushed Cincinnati’s lead to 31-14 and was Levis’ third interception of the game.
Levis finished the game 8 of 12 passing for 89 yards. Three of his four incompletions were interceptions and his other turnover was a fumble in the second quarter.
Interceptions have been an issue for Levis dating back to his days at Kentucky. Coming into the game, he had 12 touchdowns compared to nine interceptions. He’ll leave Week 15 with a 12-to-12 touchdown-to-interception ratio after going the past two weeks without turning the football over through the air.
Rudolph comes in having started three games for the Titans this season. He came in for Levis largely during October when Levis was dealing with a right shoulder injury. He has 806 passing yards, four touchdowns, and four interceptions on the season coming into the Week 15 matchup.

This is Rudolph’s first season in Tennessee after spending the first four years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. His best season was his rookie year in 2019, playing in 10 games for the Steelers that season and passing 1,765 yards, 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Whether the Tennessee Titans will opt to keep Rudolph in for the rest of the team’s 2024-25 season remains to be seen, but a loss will drop the Titans to 3-11 on the season and have three games left before the regular season is over.
Next up for Tennessee is a road matchup against the Indianapolis Colts during Week 16 inside Lucas Oil Stadium. The opening kickoff between the AFC South rivals is set for 1 p.m. ET live on CBS.
