It must feel so good to wake up as Will Levis this morning. The Titans rookie led his team to the biggest comeback in the NFL in almost half a century. Plus, the young quarterback is building quite the social media following.

Add to that Levis’ victory for Angry Run of the Week as selected by Kyle Brandt of NFL Network’s Good Morning Football.

Now, layer all this to the Titans rookie’s resume from Monday Night Football. He threw for a 327 yards, the most for any rookie quarterback ever on MNF. Levis tossed to DeAndre Hopkins for the TD, then added a two-point conversion to pull the TItans to within 27-21 with 2 minutes 40 seconds to play.

No wonder this was Will Levis’ mood as he dashed off the field and down the sidelines once Derrick Henry made it to the end zone. The NFL shared the video clip, heading it “WILL LEVIS IS FIRED UP.”

Levis good fortune fueled Titans final drive

After the Titans held the powerful Dolphins on defense, Levis and company went to work again. The six-play drive culminated in a three-yard, Derrick Henry run. The defense held the Dolphins again.

Levis was nails on the final two Titans drive, completing nine of his 11 passes for 127 yards and a TD. No team since 1976 had come from 14 points down with less than three minutes to play and win in regulation.

In post-game, Levis explained what he did in simple, rookie terms.

“Just trusting what I’m seeing, trusting our guys to be in the right spots and just throwing it to the open guy,” Levis told reporters. “Sometimes it’s as simple as that. Our guys held up up front, didn’t feel any pressure for the most part. When that happens and we have time and dudes are in the right spots, it’s a beautiful thing, and that’s what happened on those two drives.”

Titans fans can surely concur.

Brian Baldringer, a former NFL offensive lineman turned analyst, broke down somee of Levis’ best plays and shared then bright and early, Tuesday.

And then there was this play, which flushed Levis out of the pocket. The Dolphins defense wasn’t prepared for what happened if the Titans rookie broke contain. This play also won Good Morning Football’s “Angry Run of the Week.” We’re hoping Dolphins DB Jalen Ramsey is feeling better this morning.

It was a wild weekend in the NFL, with the Monday Night Football double header amplying the trend. Overall, there were eight underdogs, including the Titans, to win in week 14. And the best news for Levis in company — they knocked the Dolphins out of the top seed.
