Tom Brady answers Jim Gray's question about return in 2023 with NSFW answer
On the most recent episode of his Let’s Go! podcast with Jim Gray, Tom Brady was brutally honest with his fellow podcast host about whether or not he will come back to Tampa for another season, leave or even retire.
“If I knew what I was going to f—ing do I would’ve already f—ing done it. I’m taking it a day at a time. I appreciate you asking,” he told Gray. “Thank you.”
Brady has been tied to several free agent rumors since the Buccaneers lost in the NFC Wild Card round to the Dallas Cowboys. Some insiders are saying he could be headed to Las Vegas, or at the very least won’t be returning to Tampa.
Still, this is the same man that retired and un-retired in a single offseason. Anything could happen between now and the opening week of the 2023 NFL season.
NFL fines Tom Brady $16,444 for slide-tackle trip on Malik Hooker in wildcard vs. Cowboys
On top of elimination for the playoffs and hitting another inflection point in his NFL career, Tom Brady is also getting pinched for more than a few pennies by the league. The offense? A soccer-esque slide tackle attempt on Dallas Cowboys safety Malik Hooker after a turnover in the third quarter.

The cost? A $16,444 fine, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Brady came in from behind on the play and stuck his feet in around the lower legs and feet of Hooker — studs up, too. Fortunately, Hooker was OK.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers center Ryan Jensen also earned a fine for his actions on the play. He got tagged with an $8,333.33 fine for unnecessary roughness on the play — which you can see toward the upper left at the end of the clip.
Jensen and Brady saw red on the field, but unfortunately for them this isn’t soccer and instead of a red card, it’s being punished in green.
