The man who has won more Super Bowls than another other player in NFL history arrived at his special ceremony on Wednesday evening in style. Tom Brady arrived in a suit and khakis for the event being held by the New England Patriots. Brady is being officially enshrined inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame on Wednesday night.

And as you might imagine, there were plenty of other celebrities in attendance, including Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Jay-Z, Bill Burr, Peyton Manning, and others.

It’s a well-deserved honor for a man with a relentless obsession of winning. He helped fuel the Patriots to six different Super Bowl titles during his storied career. Then, towards the end of his NFL career, he also brought one Super Bowl crown to Tampa Bay.

Brady is a little more than a month removed from “The Roast of Tom Brady”, the three-hour special on Netflix. The show drew rave reviews on social media and overall was a very successful event. It ran incredibly smoothly, considering how many people spoke during it. It drew over two million viewers on the night it was aired, but following the roast, the greatest to ever spin it said he had some regrets. He also apologized to his ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen.

Why Tom Brady loved playing football

Brady had a lot of success because he loved playing football. A few weeks ago on The Pivot Podcast, the 46-year-old former quarterback explained why he loved the game so much.

“It was never to be a champion, I love just throwing the football,” Brady said. “When I throw the football and I see that ball spiral out of my hands, I’m like ‘Woo! Love that! You guys want to go to the beach? Let’s throw the football.’ I’ll have a hell of a time. We would laugh, we would probably play for three hours out there.

“…When I got older, I actually liked the practices more than the games,” Brady continued. “I felt like I had such high expectations in the game, like if I went out and threw two interceptions, ‘Oh Tom Brady threw two interceptions. You’re Tom Brady. You’re supposed to be perfect out there. You can’t f— up in the game.’ But in practice, no one was watching, I could have a little more fun. I could be a little more lighter.”

No player in the history of the NFL has had as much success as Brady. In his storied 23-year career, Brady played in 10 Super Bowls, won seven championships, was named Super Bowl MVP five times, and NFL MVP three times.
