Even Tom Brady wants to meet and pose for photos with budding NBA superstar Victor Wembanyama. He brought along Jack, his oldest son, for an audience with the Spurs rookie.

It was a sweet father-son moment as Tom Brady introduced his 16-year-old son to Wemby, the 19-year-old from France. The former NFL quarterback posted some of the photos to his Instagram, Wednesday. And he took note of the height difference by poking fun of friend and former teammate Julian Edelman.

Here’s how Tom Brady captioned the photo, which now is pinned atop his page. “Awesome to meet you Wemby. Incredible young man. Usually I’d make some joke here about how I think I could get 10 and 10 against you, but let’s be real… you’d send my jumper into the club level.” (Brady then used three laughing/crying emojis.

Then here comes the dig. He tagged Edelman and added “P.S. This is how you felt all those years???”

Edelman couldn’t let the Brady sleight about his height slide without some sort of acknowledgement. So he posted a meme from The Office of Michael Scott deadpanning “I am dead inside.”

It’s unclear when and where possibly the best quarterback in NFL history met with Wemby, who some NBA analysts have projected as a generational type player akin to LeBron James and Michael Jordan. Maybe the two terrific athletes met in New York. The Spurs are playing the Knicks at Madison Square Garden tonight.

Brady also shared a photo of himself and Wemby along with Jack. He posted that picture on his Instagram Stories, captioning it: “Three on three, who’s got next?” Jack is Brady’s son with his former girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan, a star of the long-running series Blue Bloods.

If you’re wanting some context on height, Wemby is 7-foot-4 inches. Tom Brady comes in a foot shorter at 6-4. Edelman is 5-10. He still managed to catch 620 passes in his 12-year career. He caught the majority of those passes from Brady since the two spent a decade together as teammates. You can see the two making a cameo in an “Unretirement” commercial for Lays. Others in the commercial are NFL legends Dan Marino, Emmitt Smith, Randy Moss and Jerry Rice.

Meanwhile, Wembanyama is starting his NBA career on a brisk pace. He’s averaging 19.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while playing about 29 minutes per contest.
