Tom Brady meets viral Tampa Bay duck ahead of Buccaneers vs. Saints

The Tampa Bay Duckaneers — check that — Buccaneers have their good luck charm in the building for Sunday’s regular season finale against the New Orleans Saints.
The duck which mysteriously appeared on the field of Raymond James Stadium during Tampa Bay’s victory over the Carolina Panthers last Sunday, has returned. This time, as a guest of honor. The duck even made a new friend out of Tom Brady, back in Tampa to call the action for FOX Sports.
The duck’s legend grows, one week after it helped aid the Buccaneers to victory. During the third quarter against Carolina, the duck was caught on camera by the CBS Sports crew. But the camera quickly panned back to the action, as the Panthers were lining up for a punt. Johnny Hekker had his punt blocked, and linebacker J.J. Russell scooped the ball up and took it back for six.
“Quack, quack — and Hekker has it blocked!” Ian Eagle said on the broadcast.
It’s still unclear how the duck got there, but the Buccaneers are running with it. From now on, it’s known as Tampa Bay’s “good luck duck.”
“That was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen here,” receiver Mike Evans said of the duck. “That was our good luck duck. I’ve never seen us block a punt and then we scored a touchdown. When the duck flew on the field, that was amazing.”

Buccaneers have a lot to play for in Week 18 vs. Saints
The Buccaneers will look to clinch a playoff spot with the duck in attendance. It’s simple: A victory over the Saints and the Buccaneers will be crowned NFC South champions for the fourth consecutive season. A loss gives the division title to the Falcons should Atlanta take care of business against the Carolina Panthers.
“They have to do the little things right,” head coach Todd Bowles said earlier this week. “They shouldn’t respond any other way than they responded yesterday.
“We have to do the little things right. It’s a division opponent, we know it’s going to be a dogfight. We had to win one last year – last game of the season [at Carolina], it was 9-0. It was a dog fight with Carolina, so we expect the same thing.”
