On Sunday, Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown gave Tom Brady a laugh in the broadcasting booth when he reenacted a viral touchdown celebration after boosting the Lions to a 7-3 lead over the Packers. Following his touchdown, St. Brown stood on his head, stiffened his body and slowly fell over.

Brady couldn’t believe it, chuckling as if he was at a comedy show. The Green Bay Packers certainly weren’t laughing. St. Brown hauled in the 3-yard touchdown pass in style, turning over his back shoulder to secure the pigskin.

Amon-Ra St. Brown’s eye-catching celebration was a reference to Incarnate Word’s Jalen Walthall, who was flagged for the celebration on Saturday against Houston Christian. St. Brown received no such penalty and was greeted with nothing but smiles and laughs from his teammates after the celebration.

St. Brown has given Lions fans plenty to smile about this season. He boasts 41 receptions this season — over two times more than the next closest player on the team — and has tallied a team-high 408 receiving yards.

Of course, he still has some work to do surpassing his totals from last season. In the 2023 campaign, St. Brown amassed a jaw-dropping 1,515 receiving yards and 70 touchdowns on 119 receptions. For his efforts, he was named a First-Team All-Pro.

Saints WR Chris Olave suffers concussion against Panthers

On Sunday, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave suffered a concussion in a massive collision against the Carolina Panthers. Olave was motionless on the ground following the hit and was taken off the field on a stretcher. Shortly after the injury, Josh Olave provided an update on his brother’s condition.

“Bro just called, he’s up and active,” Josh Olave, Chris’ brother, wrote on X.

Chris Olave has now suffered six known concussions since 2020, including another this season. Olave, 24, also suffered a concussion in the Saints’ Week 6 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He did not play in New Orleans’ next game against the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football. Olave returned last Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, hauling in eight receptions for 107 yards.

At one point during the game, he took a shoulder to his helmet area and came out to be evaluated for a concussion. He returned to play in the rest of the game. Unfortunately, Olave’s injury was too severe this time and he was taken to the Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.
