Tommy Tremble injury: Panthers TE exits game after scary hit to head vs. Bears

Carolina Panthers (1-3) tight end Tommy Tremble has been diagnosed with a concussion and is out for the remainder of Sunday’s Week 5 road contest against the Chicago Bears (2-2).

Tremble had a violent helmet-to-helmet collision with Bears safety Jaquan Brisker after making a catch in the second quarter. Tremble fumbled after the hit and appeared to be unconscious for a few moments.

Tremble, 24, is in his fourth season with the Panthers. The 2021 third round pick out of Notre Dame entered Sunday having hauled in six receptions for 52 yards in three games, most among Panthers tight ends.

In his Panthers career, Tremble has 69 catches for 607 yards and seven scores.

Panthers lose Tommy Tremble vs. Bears

With Tremble sidelined, the Panthers have Ja’Tavion Sanders and Feleipe Franks as options at tight end. Sanders, the 2024 fourth round pick out of Texas, has just five receptions for 28 yards this season.
