Tony Stewart lands Bass Pro Shops sponsor for full SRX season
The Camping World SRX Series season is almost here and Tony Stewart had a big announcement to make ahead of the summer series. No matter what kind of ride you’d rive, racing is all about the sponsors. Camping World signed on to sponsor the series as a whole and now Bass Pro Shops is on board with the NASCAR legend for the entire six-race season.
On top of sponsoring Tony Stewart in his No. 14 machine, Bass Pro is hopping on as the “Official Outdoor Sporting Goods Sponsor of SRX.” This is a big-time sponsorship that should be very beneficial to the series as a whole.
When you’re on ESPN, you get the big sponsors. Stewart and the SRX team have worked hard to build this series up and in year three, it looks like it is getting bigger by the day.
“I’m thrilled that Bass Pro and Johnny Morris are joining us at SRX this year. Johnny is a great sportsman, conservationist and friend of mine, and I’m excited to be driving his iconic Bass Pro paint scheme in SRX this year,” Stewart said in a press release.
Of course, Bass Pro and Tony Stewart go way back. The two have been partners in NASCAR and now in the SRX Series. Smoke is still going strong at 52 years old. Not just in SRX but also in the NHRA with his Top Alcohol Dragster. Racing is just in his blood.
So, what are you most excited about this SRX season? There are so many NASCAR stars suiting up for a race or two and even more great drivers running full-time. When SRX gets the year going at Stafford Speedway they will all be racing for wins and a championship.

Tony Stewart can’t stop driving
You would think after conquering IndyCar, NASCAR champion three times, and all of the dirt racing wins and events, Tony Stewart might want to hang up his racing gloves. However, that day has yet to come as Smoke keeps the horsepower moving in not just one series, but a couple at least.
SRX has been a bit of a passion project for Stewart. There is no doubt that he has become frustrated and maybe even disillusioned by NASCAR in recent years. However, the SRX Series lets him get back in a stock car and race against some of the greatest names to ever race in North America and beyond.
Let’s not act like Stewart doesn’t care about NASCAR anymore. He is still a team owner with Stewart-Haas Racing and has big plans for the future. That includes adding Josh Berry to the team next year. Berry will replace Kevin Harvick in the No. 4, opening a new era in SHR history.
In between the NASCAR action and drama though, Tony Stewart will likely be racing the Ray Evernham-designed stock cars of SRX or tearing down a 1/4-mile dragstrip in his Top Alcohol Dragster.
